Calcutta HC says GST Notice Cannot Be Hidden Behind Portal Upload

Sarat Chandra Ghorai challenged a GST demand after his appeal was rejected as time-barred. The High Court found that the SCN had only been uploaded under the “Additional Notice and Orders” tab without separate intimation, preventing the petitioner from responding, and treated this as a violation of natural justice; both the adjudication and appellate orders were consequently set aside.
