CBDT launches nationwide verification of suspicious forex remittances

The Income Tax Department has identified entities remitting substantial amounts abroad despite minimal reported turnover and apparent non-existent services. CBDT has initiated nationwide verification covering 394 entities, including suspected misuse of Form 15CB certificates and possible unreported foreign exchange transactions.
