CBIC Prescribes Export Declaration Forms Handling at Non-EDI Customs Locations

Executive Summary

Under the Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Goods and Services) Regulations, 2026, exporters must furnish an Export Declaration Form (EDF) declaring the full export value of goods. CBIC has now directed Non-EDICustoms locations to authenticate physical EDFs and forward them to the concerned Authorised Dealer, preferably electronically through official Government email, with records maintained to minimise misuse and forged submissions.
