CBIC Revises Tariff Value Notification for Edible Oils and Precious Metals

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (“CBIC”) has issued Notification No. 47/2026-Customs (N.T.) substituting Table-1, Table-2, and Table-3 of Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) relating to tariff values notified under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962.

The notification continues the existing tariff values for specified imported commodities including edible oils, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts without any revision in the benchmark values. The revised notification comes into effect from May 20, 2026.
