Customs Eases Transshipment amidst west asia conflict

Executive Summary
CBIC has extended customs facilitation for international cargo affected by the continuing West Asia shipping disruption.
Bulk cargo diverted to Indian ports can now be temporarily unloaded, stored and transhipped under Customs control for onward export or re-export.
The framework covers liquid, break bulk and solid/dry bulk cargo and remains in force until 31 October 2026.
