IBBI says researched information is not mandated for RTI

IBBI's First Appellate Authority held that an RTI applicant cannot require the CPIO to undertake extensive research, interpret provisions or collate records scattered across multiple files to answer omnibus queries. Information already held by the public authority may be accessed, subject to statutory exemptions.
