IBC Extinguishes Tax Dues

The Bombay High Court, by judgment dated 17 July 2026, dismissed the Revenue's appeal, holding that income tax claims not forming part of an approved resolution plan under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code stand extinguished. 

The Court reaffirmed that a successful resolution applicant is entitled to revive the corporate debtor on a "clean slate."
