ITAT says Form 10-IEA Governs Tax Regime Choice Despite Return Error

The assessee filed Form 10-IEA opting out of the new tax regime, but inadvertently selected the opposite option in the return. The ITAT held that the prescribed form governed the regime choice, while directing the Assessing Officer to allow the deductions available under the old regime.
