ITAT says NFAC Could Not Act Before Its Faceless Jurisdiction Commenced

The assessee's reassessment proceedings were taken over by NFAC before the CBDT notification bringing the Section 151A faceless assessment scheme into effect. 

Following its earlier decisions, ITAT held that NFAC had no jurisdiction when the 24 March 2022 show-cause notice was issued, rendering the consequential assessment invalid.
