Jurisdiction before Injunction

The Calcutta High Court has reinforced that jurisdiction is not a procedural formality, it is the foundation of interim relief. Before granting or extending an injunction, courts must first satisfy themselves, at least prima facie, that they have jurisdiction to entertain the dispute.
