Kar HC says Hydraulic Oil Is Taxable as a petroleum Products Under Karnataka Entry Tax

Wipro challenged entry tax on Hydraulic Oil used in manufacturing hydraulic cylinders, arguing that it was neither specifically covered by Entry 67 nor a petroleum product listed in the notification. The High Court, following the Supreme Court and its earlier Hyva India ruling, held that “and others” covers other petroleum products and confirmed the levy.
