Processed Milk is an Intermediate Product and Cannot Trigger Rule 6 Reversal

Lotte India manufactured processed milk as part of its integrated confectionery process. Although the milk was exempt from duty, it was never independently cleared as a final product. CESTAT held that its intermediate character meant that the Rule 6 demand based on exempted goods was unsustainable.
