RuPay and Small UPI Payments under 2K to Remain Charge-Free

The Ministry of Finance has notified RuPay debit cards and UPI transactions up to ₹2,000 under Section 10A of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007. Banks and system providers are prohibited from imposing any direct or indirect charge on either the person making or receiving payments through these specified modes.
