SARFAESI injunction vacated by Cal HC

The Calcutta High Court, by its judgment dated 7 August 2026, allowed Axis Bank's appeal and set aside an ad interim injunction granted by the trial court restraining SARFAESI proceedings. The Court held that the injunction was passed in the teeth of Section 34 of the SARFAESI Act and impermissibly rewrote the contractual terms between the parties by modifying the repayment schedule.
