SC to determine if processed see income is agri or business income

Can income from selling processed seeds be treated as tax-free agricultural income.

The Supreme Court is now set to answer that question. While admitting the Revenue's appeal, the Court has indicated that this long-running controversy deserves detailed examination. 

For seed companies and agri-businesses, the final verdict could redefine where agricultural income ends and taxable business income begins.
