SLP dismissed while keeping underlying question in place

The Supreme Court, by order dated 13 July 2026, dismissed the Special Leave Petition filed by the Commissioner of Income Tax against HCL Infosystems Ltd., refusing to interfere with the Delhi High Court's judgment dated 21 December 2015. 

However, the Court clarified that the question of law remains open, thereby limiting the precedential value of the dismissal.
