Triaging of GST on illegal mining

CBIC has issued Instruction No. 01/2026-GST directing coordinated action between CGST field formations and State Mining Authorities for periodic sharing of intelligence on illegal mining activities. The objective is to detect suppression of taxable supplies, wrongful input tax credit claims and other GST violations arising from the mining sector.
